The special monasteries, the colourful mountains climbing to heaven and especially your lovely people easing their heart in the eyes. We feel very graceful having this great team in our company Chandra our guide full of patience, he inform us very well and could answer all our questions let us take so many photos. We went many times for trekking in the past "Dilli" is the best cook we ever had gold medel for him, he has a lot of fantasy to create wonderful meals. Tsering the pony man very great in all his activities and so lovely. You should take care of this team, thank you once more.

We stayed for 1 month in the good hands of the Padma Guest House staff. We loved the amazing view from the roof top restaurant and the very good food in there. Also the rooms were big and quite. If we will return to Leh, then the choice were we will stay is already done.
Markha Valley trek (10 days) and Tsomoriri Trek (9 days) we did two treks with guide, cook and horseman. Both treks were great organized and the food on the treks was always amazing. Indian, Tibetan, Ladakhi, Chinese and western food, they cook like a 5 star restaurant. The day treks were not so hard, just the altitude especially on Tsomoriri trek was the hardest. Where ever we have been, the views were great. We also saw a lot of wild animals. The difference between the two treks was the wideness. Markha Valley is a narrow beautiful valley, where the villages looks like little oasis. The trek to Tsomoriri is a very wide landscape, when you stand on top of one of the 5000 mtr. High pass, then you can see sometimes two walking days further. On the flat plains it's not unusual that you meet some wild ass. Altogether we had wonderful treks with friendly guys. Thanks to Deepen, Dili, Shekar and Sampel. We thank you very much for all your efforts and we hold this holiday in a very good memory. We really felt like at home.

Markha Valley trekking with guide Rinchen, cook Nima and Pony man Wangchuk.
We are really grateful for our guide Rinchen, the cook Nima, the pony man Wangchuk and his ponies. Without whom we will never gonna survive. Rinchen is very knowledgeable and always let us know the wildlife we see on the way. He's also good at controlling the schedule and taking care of our fitness at all the time. Nima the cook is gorgeous! It seems like we've brought a whole restaurant to the mountains! We had a wide range of food from Indian to Italian to Tibetan during the 8 day trek, and it's somehow embarrassing to say that we've both gained some weight! We love the pony man Wangchuk also. He is such a happy man and always sings in the morning when he starts to pack things on the horses.
As for the trek, we've been to a lot of magnificent places and villages and met some interesting local families and shepherds. There was one afternoon that is a bit disappointing though. Due to last year's flood, the trees were washed away and the Shingo valley is very dusty. It's tiring to walk in there. Except for that, the trek is mixed with different landscape and worth doing.
Beside, Padma is a great place to stay. We've been staying in Guesthouse and Hotel room both. The room is very clean and well maintained by friendly staff. Attached roof garden restaurant is also great. Tsewang and Bickey are all very informative and keen to help us with anything.

Markha Valley Trek
Guide was Excellent as both cook,food for 8 days was superb very good and hygiene the guide was flexible he accomadaled us by rising at 5am to trek early to avoid the heat.watch out for afternoon sun you can do this by starting early guide was flexible also regarding the itinerary he planned shorter days for us. Scenery was for the most part spectacular. Overall it's a demanding trek out well with effort to be highly recommended.TIP- have warm sleeping Bags

We have just completed a 8 days markha valley trek which was a spectacular trip this was our first experience of trekking which proved to be a challenge but thoughout this time raj our guide was always very patient and allowed us to go at our own pace, he was very informative about the surroundings and answered our questions regarding Buddhism which he is clearly very knowledgeable about the equipment was very comprehensive the food excellent and raj always ensured that our needs were met. The trek was a once in a life time experience fr us and Raj,Chokpa the cook and the pony men certainly made it an experience to remember we would not hesitate in recommending this trek to anybody.
